When Worship Becomes Intercession
A simple worship session pushes into standing-in-the-gap prayer.
During a worship night, Cortney played her song Beautiful, Beautiful, taken from the story of the woman with the alabaster box of perfume, poured out on Jesus. To introduce it, she said something like, “This is for everyone who has given a gift in such hope and had it not received as you hoped.”
I could relate to that.
But beyond that one song, the full recording of the hour-long worship time was so powerful.
One of my friends wrote yesterday morning:
I am SO HAPPY you posted this video.
I have been unable to make these calls, and I came down this morning, and it has been my background music as I enter my business workday today.
We have been on a difficult journey these past months and I am beginning to show signs of rare wear and tear on my soul.
I am carrying a lot for many people around me.
Listening to this today has been strengthening today and it also is motivating me at many levels.
This is more than a worship service.
There is more coming through this session than just worship.
There is a powerful intercessory aroma going up to Heaven on behalf of the listener.
The intercession I did not have words for—inexpressible.
The intercession that perhaps I did not know I needed—the Spirit’s cry for my heart.
There is a lot going on here in the Spirit in this simple session.
Keep it up!
Your labor is bearing hidden fruit in the incense bowls of prayer in Heaven that are going up for many.
Yes. That is starting to put words to what I haven’t had words. It was more than truly lovely. I had full body goosebumps.
One attendee during the live hour wrote, “Oh my. That was so lovely and part of it felt like God specifically leading the song for my situation and heart. Is there a recording I could watch? Thanks to you and your Cortney for hosting this. Feeling very seen and encouraged by the Lord.”
Cortney also has an inexpensive monthly subscription, so if you want access to more of her music, that’s available, too.
Be filled with the Spirit!
