Welcome, Friend!

In February 2020, I launched the Prayer Refresh, a 21-day email sequence of single-sentence prayers to pray as you go about your day. I believe that short prayers, offered all day, matter. (These may or may not lead to longer prayers. Some crave longer time with God and some don’t. We have different giftings.)

About 2,000 people began it, mostly homeschool moms. Before they finished, the world shut down for COVID.

As the email sequence neared its end, I began getting messages like this one: “I am in tears that I won't be getting an email from you tomorrow.”

I went on a long hike to figure out what to do next. It had taken me 50 weeks to launch that 21-day email sequence. But I had also started writing about my prayer journey daily on August 1 of the previous year, curious to see if I would reach the end of thoughts about prayer in a few weeks, or if it was a topic that continued to expand. Was prayer more like a finite fishbowl, or more like the ever-expanding universe?

I had no idea.

But I wanted to serve my teary readers, so I began writing daily emails about prayer.

For over 2000 days I have sought to bring what I have been learning about prayer to curious readers.

And I have learned a lot! God is already speaking to us—more than we realize.

I love getting comments like these:

I enjoy your emails so much. I regularly notice how timely and appropriate they are.

I’d love for you to join me as we learn to hear the voice and heart of the God who is already speaking in the middle of our ordinary days.

Excited for you to be part, too.

Welcome!
