Prayer Support for Ministries: Because We Want Stuck Things to Move

The team at Workplace Prayer delights to pray, not only for our businesses, but for ministries, too.

Some of our clients came to us as career international workers (formerly called “missionaries”), serving in a country in South America. On the intake form, they wrote, “Since we have shifted directions into prayer ministry, we have faced constant misunderstanding with our teammates and leadership. We want to be able to share the treasure that we carry with our teammates.”

We were thrilled to hear, one week in, this testimony.

We presented to our teammates what exactly we do in these exciting but sometimes vague prayer and revival ministries.
We were both able to communicate very clearly (huge answer to prayer) and from our best selves—confident, at rest, able to receive questions (another huge answer to prayer).
We do not sense that anyone on our team wants to accompany us, but we do feel that they want to learn how to support us.
Two days later, after one of us turned down an opportunity to be on our field’s leadership team (and gave leadership the reasons for this), we ended up voting on this for the first time since our arrival on the field ten years ago! As a field we appointed a leadership team. This has been a vague and unsettling leadership structure for many years, apparently handpicked from above without much communication as to the process. Going into this week of meetings, no one anticipated that this might happen.
All that to say that things MOVED in the last week. Things that had felt stuck flowed well. We are positioned now to be fully present during these next two years.
We still have a LOT of curiosity about the future.
And we are very thankful for you guys.
What a game changer it is—from the first night we signed up for Workplace Prayer, I felt lighter.
