How Prayer Cleared an IRS Penalty
A client faced over $1M in IRS penalties. After prayer, we were all surprised … including the IRS agent.
In September 2022, one of our clients sent a beautiful testimony.
Recently we were in the crosshairs of the IRS and we were potentially on the hook for over $1M of fees and penalties. It seems our accountant didn’t file a particular paper by March 15. He had never filed such a form, and we didn’t catch it either.
I wasn’t fretting because we could afford it. If we truly believe our money is the Lord’s and we only manage it, then He was able to do with His money whatever He wanted. I said that I thought giving money to the government was a waste of His money, but if that was what He wanted to do, I was okay with that.
The main impact on us would be that we would be able to give less to charity, and if that was what He wanted, He could do so.
We just got a call from our accountant. The IRS decided to clear the account and return us over $100K of money they have held.
The agent said she had never seen that happen before.
We are no longer liable, and the Lord has gone before and acted on our behalf. Praise the Lord!
Although I said I wasn’t fretting, the call did lift a burden from my head. To have the hassle (and multiple certified letters and calls) go away feels like an enormous gift.
