From the Prayer Refresh to Workplace Prayer, a podcast, and a publishing house: the ecosystem we built, and why I'm here now.

Bob and I spent the summer of 2020 praying through starting something prayer-related.
A few months later, we started Workplace Prayer, a ministry that offers paid prayer coverage for businesses, families, and ministries.
In January of 2021, we invited our community to join us on a 21-day fast. Because everyone was sheltering at home and extremely bored, we had over 500 people join us. So fun! And from there, we launched Prayer Mentoring, a prayer training and discipleship program.
In June, I started the Make Prayer Beautiful podcast.
By Christmas, we had founded our publishing house Makarios Press. The name comes from the Greek word in the Beatitudes of Matthew 5, usually translated, “Blessed are the,” but more accurately translated, “you are in your happy place when.” At Makarios, through print, we celebrate and share God’s work in the world through print.
From there, we have continued to experiment with bringing prayer to the world.
We enjoy four community-wide prayer experiences annually: the 21-day fast in January (the F(e)ast), thirty days of praying the Prayer of Jabez in June, a second 21-day fast in August (Pursue), and a month of daily communion in October (Savor Communion).
And we send out regular messages.
