Even Disney Comes to Look: Faith, the Arts, and Sight and Sound

One of our Workplace Prayer clients went on an executive retreat, and came back with a blessing.

Philippians 4:6 says something very simple: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”
The word “everything” truly means everything. Particularly in business.
In these days, the Lord is moving upon many hearts to make a dramatic impact—even in areas like the arts.
We had an incredible encounter at Sight and Sound Theater.
A Mennonite group has been raised up there, impacting the world through their art.
If you think the arts have been completely given over to the liberal world, you’re mistaken. There in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, they are producing stage productions so creative that even Disney comes and looks, because it’s a new level.
And all of this is rooted in prayer.
If you’re a business person, how absolutely critical it is to support the intercessors.
Support the prayer movement. Get people in your company praying specifically for what you’re doing. And let’s watch the Lord’s breakthrough.
Lord, we thank you this day that you are speaking this word very loudly in the body of Christ, that businesses should be bathed in prayer.
We should be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, may we raise up intercessors and prayers to the Lord, to see the breakthroughs that we want to accomplish in the earth.
Lord, we want to accomplish great things for you, and that takes great prayer.
Lord, we pray: continue to stir our hearts, and bring it forth. In Jesus’ name, amen.
