- Description: A dead computer and a specific prayer. (Pray about everything!)

The same week that I needed to do a system upgrade on my computer, and ended up being bereft of my device for 17 hours as one thing after another went wrong, one of our [Workplace Prayer](https://workplaceprayer.com/?ref=blog.makeprayerbeautiful.com) team members shared this story.

> Jesus has done some amazing things before with my family’s iMac that was needed for remote work, my friend’s laptop that wouldn’t boot (and he needed to send a presentation), and another friend’s washer, and a furnace that lasted through the coldest storm in 2022 and then died just after they returned from a week-long trip and they could get it replaced without damage to their home.
> But it has never happened for me personally until this week.
> Wednesday night while I was working on a report, I realized that the computer wasn’t charging. And I unplugged it and plugged it back in, plugged it in from a different electrical outlet, nothing. I worked until the battery was depleted.
> Thursday morning I finally wrote in my journal at around 7:50am, “Lord, I ask for restoration and the ability to either swap out the battery or a new top-of-the-line Macbook Pro, in Jesus’ name, amen.”
> At or around 8:20am-ish that same morning, my light turned off at its scheduled time. I reached to turn on another light, and realized it wouldn’t turn on.
> It turns out there’s a light switch that also controls the power to the electrical outlets. I don’t remember turning it off, at least I don’t think so. And the moment I turned on that light switch, the light came on, and immediately I heard the computer charging sound.
> And this was during the Workplace Prayer prayer call, where I prayed out of Isaiah 65:24: “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”
> *Do it again Abba, because the Testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy (Revelation 19:10 NKJV). In Jesus’ name, amen.*

Amen! Don’t forget to pray over your tech needs!

Pray on every occasion in the Spirit, with every type of prayer and intercession,

Amy Joy
